Welcome to Newtown and Caister Medical Practice. We are a medical practice serving Great Yarmouth and Caister on Sea from sites in both locations. Our Practice is committed to:

Our services
We have a comprehensive medical team, comprising 8 doctors, a nurse practitioner, 2 nurses, 2 health care assistants and 3 phlebotomists. In addition we provide mental health services, counselling, smoking cessation advice and weight management programmes.

Out of hours emergency
If you experience severe chest pain, loss of blood or suspected broken bones call 999 or go to Accident & Emergency at the James Paget Hospital.
When our Practice is closed, your care is provided by South East Health Ltd. South East Health are a primary care provider, commissioned by NHS Great Yarmouth & Waveney. All calls to the Practice, outside of opening hours, are automatically transferred to East Coast Health but you can also contact them directly on 0844 736 9530.
Alternatively Greyfriars Health Centre opens until 8pm each day. Their address is 5 Greyfriars Way, Great Yarmouth, NR30 2QE. NHS Direct also offer free health advice 24 hours a day. They can be contacted on 0845 4647 or via www.nhs.uk. Those with impaired hearing should call 0845 606 4647.
